Surprisingly, I was dreading having to write this post. Not because I didn’t want to share everything I’ve been learning or communicate with everyone back home…. but because it is SO hard to summarize all of the cool things that God has been doing in each of the missionaries and the people here in Africa!!! I feel so blessed that we have this opportunity to come here. Ha, John and Wanne told me today that having me here reminds them of when Hannah was home! It is very cool to be able to get to know them better and I am so excited to spend more time here and learn more!!! I’ll let you all know how it goes

Thought about you on the way to church because my radio began to play a Beatles song (Jim and I drove separately). I pictured you in front of the people with a big smile on your face and really excited about what you had to say. We miss meeting with everyone on Sunday evenings and praying hard everyday for all of you.

My Sweet Kelly ~ It is so good to hear from you. I am so proud of you and know the Lord is doing a mighty work in you. Remember what they told you at Fire & Water – God has set you apart to do wonderful things in His name. This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to hear all the details. Baby, keep your eyes on Him ~ I say this with urgency because He is the truth and He will take you amazing places (obviously cause you are in Mozambique) but also by how He ministers to and through your heart. I totally understand your hesitation….I remember feeling so overwhelmed by the sights, the colors, the people, the need. I am praying that your life and the lives of your teammates are changed for God’s glory. Woo-hoo! God is soooo good.
Oh I hope you can put some of it into words while you’re there. It helps YOU to remember later too. It’s good to hear how God is working in you too though. He always does when you do something out of your comfort zone.

Kel Bel! I am so sorry I missed you the other day! I love you! I am so so totally excited for you. Sometimes I’ll just be doing my thing, running errands or whatever, and I’ll stop and think – Kelly is in freaking AFRICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – and it’s just so cool. Take time to really find yourself and to soak up lessons from the people you meet their. I think those are some of the greatest memories I have from Mexico. These people can have so few material possessions and still offer deep life lessons. I love you!!!!
